We believe that worshipping God is our highest calling, He is worthy of all worship and our whole lives are an act of worship towards him. We were created to enjoy Him forever. When we gather together in life groups or on a Sunday, we want to be intentional about worshipping God and meeting with Him. We are blessed to have a good number of gifted musicians and singers who together lead us in sung worship on a weekly basis. The worship team is made up of a wide range of ages and abilities which makes for a wide variety of styles from new and modern songs to classic hymns. We’re always on the lookout for people to join in so if you have any sense of being musical (even if it’s not something you’ve engaged with before) please speak to James, one of our worship leaders, about how you could get involved either up the front with the musicians or perhaps even on the technical side of things at the back. The group meets each Thursday evening to worship together, pray and rehearse for Sundays. We also hold ‘Worship Forums’ to learn and grow together, share vision, learn and write new songs and meet with God. As well as Sunday and mid week services there are also opportunities to be part of the team with monthly Praise and Prayer events called Powerhouse, special worship evenings through the year and other events.
Whilst we worship because God is worthy of all praise, we also know that our praise changes the atmosphere and enables us to meet with God in special and powerful ways as His presence moves amongst us. Our times of worship are centred upon Jesus and we want to be led by the Holy Spirit actively responding to His leading. We encourage people in the congregation to contribute through prayer and free worship and we take time to wait on God to hear what He may be saying to us.
