Prayer is an essential part of the life of King’s church. We recognise that individually and together we are entirely dependent upon God’s grace and power to walk in His purposes and to see our own and others lives changed and transformed.
As well as our own individual prayer times and prayer in Church services we currently have the following prayer meetings and opportunities to pray together
– Sunday Mornings: We meet to pray for the service in the Village hall at 10.00 am. All are welcome to join this time of prayer and listening to what God wants to say.
– Monday mornings: Every week on Monday morning from 9 am – 10 am we meet in the King’s building to thank the Lord for all that he has done the previous week, share what we believe God is saying to us and seek Him on all the key areas of the week ahead. We often take time to worship God and enjoy His presence.
|– Monthly Mid Week Powerhouse: This meeting is called Powerhouse – A people of Praise and Prayer. The second Tuesday of every month the whole Church is encouraged to gather for an open evening of worship and prayer.|
– Tri-annual members meetings: Three times a year those who are members of the church meet to worship God, share what is happening in Church life, make key decisions and seek the Lord through prayer.
– Special prayer events: We also organise occasional weeks of prayer, special prayer events, prayer walks and joint prayer initiatives with other Churches and organisations.
In addition to these prayer gatherings those in Life groups, prayer for and with each other every week. We also have a prayer chain for emergency situations.
Our fortnightly newsletter details some key areas for prayer during that time.
As well as praying to God we also believe that God works through each of us through the power of His Holy Spirit who indwells all believers. As such we encourage all believers to pray and minister to one another through the week, in Life groups and at gathered services using the gifts of the Holy Spirit to see each person walk in greater and greater levels of freedom. We also have a number of people especially trained and gifted in praying for and ministering to others. After each Sunday and midweek service there are people who would love to pray with you to see breakthrough in your life and circumstances.
If you would like specific prayer for any area or would like to meet a pastor or a member of the prayer ministry team outside of normal services then please just contact the office on 01753 651178
