A core focus of King’s Church is to reach out to those around us with the love of God to share Jesus and to see hope restored. We seek to do this in our everyday lives and together as a Church as we reach out to help meet spiritual, physical or emotional needs.

Locally we seek to support those in our community who are in need and are available to talk and pray with people most weekdays. We are increasingly working together with other charities and organisations to help people flourish in all areas of life and hold Foodbank Vouchers as one way of helping practically. We run a coffee morning for mum’s and children on a Tuesday and have an extensive ministry to support older people in the community (King’s Friends).  As well as a cafe, trips, meals and general help we also visit sheltered accommodation and hold services there.

As part of working together with other local Churches we take a weekly school assembly and arrange joint outreach events. We have run joint Alpha courses in recent years.

At Christmas we encourage the Church Family to invite people, who are on their own, to their home to share a Christmas Meal.

In the past we have organised ‘The Feast of Iver’ which was a Special Christmas Day lunch for all those who might otherwise be on their own on Christmas Day or would value company, great food, a few games, music and fun atmosphere!

Regionally and nationally we currently support the work of London City Mission, and Christian Connections In Schools.  Internationally we support The Mission Aviation Fellowship and Tearfund. We also seek to support those in our Church family who go on short term mission trips to places such as Russia.
